This is a hard list - but currently, my mother-in-law tops it.

Rosemary Viswanath is probably one of the most purpose-driven people I know, having balanced her time over four decades of working in various capacities in both the corporate and NGO sectors in India.

A graduate from IIM-B in the 80s, Rose helped cement Group Relations as a discipline in corporate India's HR vocabulary. And she has diversified her impact with organisations like Equations (around the impact of tourism) and NGOs like Swadhikar (on Dalit Human Rights) and the Alternative Law Forum to name a few.

She's a proud zealot on topics that matter to her, an old-school feminist who prioritises actions over words and continues to be restless to make more of an impact on the world around her - however increasingly unfamiliar she might become with its ways. I'm glad to know her and to learn from her often.
