Philip Eapen, an automobile industry veteran and MRF's senior advisor, passed away on Sunday night in Chennai. He was 86.

The marketing maven was the brain behind one of MRF’s most iconic Muscleman campaign.

Born on September 4, 1937, in Kerala’s Thiruvalla, Eapen joined MRF after he graduated from Madras Christian College in 1958 and held several leadership roles during his stint at the company.

Philip Eapen was also a Senior Advisor to MRF. He was appointed Senior Advisor in 2007 after serving as Executive Director of Marketing.

Eapen significantly influenced strategic decisions at MRF for nearly seven decades. He was also a director for MRF International Limited and MRF Corp Limited. Eapen was a doyen of tyre marketing and his practical thinking helped MRF to be always on top in the tyre business.
