Bimal Unnikrishnan quits as Viu India’s VP-Content

Bimal Unnikrishnan has resigned as Vice President-Content, Viu India. He had joined the OTT service by PCCW and Vuclip last July. Unnikrishnan confirmed the development to exchange4media. However, he did not say anything on his next professional move.
At Viu, Unnikrishnan’s role was strengthening the original content library for the brand through the 30+ originals Viu announced in 2018. He has more than two decades of experience in the direction & programming division at media companies such as Sony Entertainment Television and Reliance Big Magic.
This is the second high-profile exit from Viu in the recent time. In November last year, Shantanu Gangane quit as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
