Narendra Modi condemns 'Emergency'; says can't forget this day in history

Indira Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India declared Emergency on June 25th 1975. The Emergency lasted for two years and it led to censor of press, arrest of politicians and chaos in the country.
The current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi condemns the emergency and said 25-26th June cannot be forgotten in the history of India.
He tweeted, “25-26th June cannot be forgotten in the history of India. 40 years ago the Nation was placed under Emergency: PM @narendramodi”
He also added, “40 years ago, lakhs of people were imprisoned, the press was censored and the radio only spoke what the Government wanted: PM @narendramodi.”
