The global streaming giant confirmed Mohan's appointment to e4m
Global streaming giant Netflix has roped in NatGeo's Swati Mohan in its bid to strengthen its presence in India. The company confirmed her appointment as Director (Marketing) to exchange4media over email. However when we tried to contact Mohan, she was unavailable at the time of filing this report.
Just before joining Netflix, Mohan's last role was that of Country Head of National Geographic and Fox Networks Group, India since April 2015. Between January 2012 and March 2015 she was spearheading the programming and content portfolio for the bouquet of channels as the Vice President of Content and Programming at Fox International Channels, India. She has over 16 years of experience in the industry, with a wide spectrum of work across companies including Group M, O&M, FBC Media and Endemol.
Meanwhile Netflix India is rapidly upping its ante as it recently also appointed Srishti Behl as Director, International Originals, Netflix India, to build its original content portfolio in India.
Its much-awaited original local series ‘Sacred Games’ based on the bestselling novel by Vikram Chandra (starring Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui) will roll out on July 6. Apart from that there are a series of upcoming originals such as ‘Selection Day,’ ‘Again,’ ‘Leila’, ‘Ghoul’, ‘Crocodile’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment-produced, ‘Bard of Blood.’
