E-commerce portal Snapdeal.com has added a new feature to its platform, called ‘Deals NearMe’. The feature addresses the need of consumers to avail relevant offers at a location near them.

It is currently available in 10 cities, and will be expanding to other cities as well shortly. Deals NearMe seeks to make the coupon website more hyperlocal.

Talking to exchange4media, Sandeep Komaravelly, Head - Marketing, Snapdeal.com, explained, “The concept behind the feature was to provide more end-to-end options to our customer. Hyperlocalisation of each offer will benefit our customers majorly.”

Commenting on the launch, Kunal Bahl, CEO, Snapdeal.com, said, “The objective is to provide more personalised and specific deals that suit consumers at the present moment. The process works similar to before with an additional filter where the consumers will be able to choose the category they are most interested in along with the preferred location, down to the level of their residential locality or office location. This ease of deal discovery will tremendously benefit our consumers.”

In its June report, digital marketing measurement firm comScore stated that Snapdeal was recently ranked the No. 1 coupon website in India and continues to drive innovation in the daily deals industry in India.

Komaravelly added, “We grown at a fast pace since our launch, and will continue to keep coming up with innovations for our consumers. We will focus on hyper-localising the deals for our consumers.”
