As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Amar Ujala took up an initiative of planting trees on World Earth Day.
The company spread the message ‘Plant a Tree & Save Earth’ through Amar Ujala editions in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Jammu and Uttarakhand.
The tree plantation initiative was flagged off by planting a tree in each of the above mentioned cities. It was supported by a signature campaign wherein lakhs of people pledged to save earth by planting a tree.
Moreover, readers were requested to switch off electricity for an hour in the evening on World Earth Day.
