Rachita Chowdhury, who had spent 14 years in advertising at Ogilvy India, has recently moved to Apocalypso Filmsworks, headed by Pradeep Sarkar, as a producer.
On her new role, Chowdhury said, “I am always seeking new challenges, so I decided to explore the familiar, yet new territory of ad film production, something that has always fascinated me. I feel that ‘Dada’ (Pradeep Sarkar) is an institution by himself, so I couldn’t have had a better start on my new journey.”
Prior to this move, Chowdhury was with Ogilvy Mumbai as Vice President on the Pond’s business. She had joined Ogilvy Delhi in 1997 and had worked across various Ogilvy offices, working on a plethora of accounts, including Apollo Tyres, Mirinda, VDIS, Duracell, KFC, GSK (Eno and Crocin), IBM, Bru Coffee, Enamor, Dabur Vatika Shampoo, Maruti Zen Estilo, Chivas and 100 pipers, to name a few.
Before moving to Mumbai, she was heading Coca Cola flavour’s portfolio – Sprite, Limca, Fanta along with Kinley water and soda and Schweppes Water. During her Delhi stint, she was also heading training for the Delhi office. She had also worked on the recent Gujarat Tourism campaign featuring Amitabh Bachchan.
