Zee Café is all set to beef up their weekday 9 PM time slot with the award-winning ‘Lost’ series. The channel will telecast the complete six seasons of the show from July 23, 2013 back to back, which will give a chance to viewers who haven’t watched the show before to come on board.

Commenting the launch of the series, the Business Head of Zee Niche Channels said, “With ‘Lost’, we bring one of the finest international shows to our Indian audiences. Our viewers are in for a treat as the series will have an instant connect not only with the youth of today, but will also appeal to other age groups as well. We at Zee Café are pleased to bring all six seasons of the cult show to them.”

The launch of ‘Lost’ will be supported by an extensive online campaign and on-ground promotions in top markets in all seven metros. The channel is launching a ‘Lost’ microsite, which will be created to host a contest for the viewers of the series. The theme of the contest is a mysterious island that has magical powers, while the channel further makes the experience worth it by making the Grand Prize an all expenses paid trip for two to an exotic island location.

The show, which stars Matthew Fox, Jorge Garcia, Evangeline Lilly and Naveen Andrews, among others, has consistently been ranked as one of the top ten series of all times and has been described by various critics as  being one of the greatest television series of all times. The New York Times called it ‘the show with perhaps the most compelling continuing story line in television history’, while Los Angeles Times praised the production value.

The series has also been nominated for a whole host of awards such as 54 Primetime Emmy Awards (out of which the series has won 11), 33 Teen Choice Awards, seven Golden Globe Awards (one win), two Screen Actors Guild Awards (one win) and a BAFTA award.
