Mid-Day, Foster’s to celebrate ‘Happy Hours’ @ 100 homes on day of IPL finals

Commenting on the initiative, Manajit Ghoshal, MD and CEO, Mid-Day Infomedia Ltd, said, “Introducing and conducting innovative and exciting brand properties is a great way to connect with our target audience. Cricket is a religion in India and the T20 format has gripped the entire nation beyond belief. Organising 100 house parties on the day of the finals of the T20 tournament is an impactful way to connect for both Foster’s and Mid-Day with the young professionals of Mumbai.”
All the 100 parties will take place on a single day under the ‘Happy Hours @ Home’ campaign. Neville Bastawalla, Marketing Head, Mid-Day Infomedia Ltd, said, “We will be there with beers, barbeque and goodies at each of these houses. Earlier, too, we had done a contest called ‘Happy Hour @ Work’ with Foster’s. This time, we decided to throw 100 parties on the day of the IPL finals in Mumbai. Our readers are participating in this contest and we have got good responses so far.”
He further said that the lucky selected homes would be featured in the Mid-Day Mumbai edition dated April 29.
This contest is being promoted through print, radio and on-ground venues, which include Mainland China (Andheri, Powai, Saki Naka, Bandra, SOBO Mall); TGIF (Andheri, Phoenix Mills); Machaan (Malad), Golden Charriot Restaurant (Goregaon, Malad and Vashi); Jugheads (Malad, Powai and Khar); Rock Bottom (Juhu); Sheesha Sky Lounge; and Vie Lounge (Juhu).
The contest, which is currently underway, will continue till April 20. To participate in the contest one can visit these venues and drop in their details or send an SMS typing AOC After the IPL3 tournament, the competition will start again during the upcoming Football World Cup. Radio One is the radio partner for this initiative.
Prior to this, Mid-Day had organised the ‘Mid-Day Happy Hours@Work; contest, wherein Mid-Day-Foster’s parties were held in the offices of Onida, ICICI Prudential, Zapak, Mudra, Madison Communications, Ogilvy & Mather and OMS, among others.
