Manoj Kohli steps down from Bharti Airtel's Board
Manoj Kohli joined the telecom company in 2002 and has held several positions; Airtel appoints Shishir Priyadarshi as independent director
Manoj Kohli, Managing Director, Bharti Enterprises, has resigned from the Board of Bharti Airtel.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Bharti Airtel said Kohli had resigned as non-executive director. Airtel said Shishir Priyadarshi had been appointed as an independent director.
Kohli has been working with the telecom company since 2002. He joined Sunil Mittal’s Bharti Airtel from Ecostel.
He led Bharti Airtel’s India operations for eight years, during which the customer base grew from 1 million to 140 million before moving to Africa in 2010.
Kohli has served the company in several roles. He has been involved in retail, financial services, agri products, real estate and Bharti SoftBank business.
