Mark Patterson, Asit Mehra & Andrew Rashbass to speak at e4m Conclave 2009
The exchange4media Conclave 2009 has brought together some of the biggest international names to discuss the opportunities in media industry amid tough times and how all stakeholders of the domain can make the most of these prospects. The Keynoter Speakers at the event are Mark Patterson, CEO, GroupM, APAC; and Asit Mehra, Executive President, Omnicom Worldwide. The exchange4media Conclave 2009, which is all set to kick off on June 3 in Mumbai and then would proceed to Delhi on June 5, has brought together some of the most renowned names in the global media and advertising industry to delve on what the future of the industry is, especially given the current economic backdrop. The theme for the Conclave this year is ‘Thriving in challenging times’. The exchange4media Conclave 2009 is presented by STAR News.
The Keynote Speakers at the event include Mark Patterson, CEO, GroupM, APAC; and Asit Mehra, Executive President, Omnicom Worldwide.
Patterson would be speaking on ‘The Opportunities of Slowdown…’. The session would address questions like what are the opportunities that the current market condition has opened up for India. This session would also see global case studies and examples of brands that were built and grew in recessionary times. Patterson’s address would be followed by a conversation between Patterson and Sunil Lulla, Director, Alva Brothers, and CEO Real Global Broadcasting Ltd, where the duo would further discuss the points made in te former’s address.
Speaking on ‘Where is Advertising Headed’ would be none other than old Indian advertising and media hand – Asit Mehra, who is currently Executive President of Omnicom Worldwide, and is based in London.
While this sets the tone of the day and gives a view of the agency side of the business, a Special Address at the Conclave would give the media owners’ point of view. Andrew Rashbass, CEO, The Economist Group, would take the stage to speak on ‘Mass Intelligence’.
The Economist Group is the leading source of analysis on international business and world affairs. Through its brands (The Economist, CFO, EuroFinance, Roll Call and European Voice), the Group delivers its information and services in over 200 countries via newspapers, magazines, reports, events, websites and other electronic channels. Rashbass became CEO of the Group in July 2008.
Following the Keynote and Special addresses, some of the leading names of the Indian and international media and advertising fraternity would get together to discuss the road ahead for the Indian media and advertising industry.
