Baba Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurved Managing Director Acharya Balkrishna have told the Supreme Court that they are ready to tender a public apology, media networks have reported.

The apex court has, however, asked the duo to appear before the court on April 23, saying it was not convinced of the plea made by Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna.

"We are not saying we will forgive you. We cannot be blind to your earlier history, we will think about your apology. You are not so innocent that you were completely unaware of what was going on in Court) ... At this moment, we are not saying they're off the hook," the court reportedly said.

Most respected judge, whatever we have done, we have apologized for it" Ramdev replied when asked about his stance on the issue.
Allopathy has been called pseudoscience and there has always been a dispute between these two branches of medicine. On Wikipedia also," Ramdev said.
"I will remain conscious about it in future. This all happened in the excitement of work. It won’t happen in future", Ramdev added.

Advertising medicines for the treatment of specific diseases is not permitted. Neither doctor not pharmacy can do that. It is irresponsible to do that. Every citizen is bound by the law," the Court said.
This all happened due to ignorance. We apologise for it," Balkrishna submitted

Patanjali has been facing the Supreme Court's ire since April. The top court has been pulling up the company for putting out "misleading ads" and defying the court's orders.

Last week, the Supreme Court had strongly criticized the company for its "deceptive practices". The court had ordered the company to file affidavits, which as per reports, were out in the media before being uploaded in front of the court.

The Supreme Court bench had also said that they wanted to set an example for other companies to play with consumer’s naivete: “Message has to go to society at large. Not just about one FMCG, but violation of the law. You said High Court said no coercive steps against us. We are making it a part of your conduct, the larger picture is your conduct with the public at large.”
