The Hindu has reshuffled roles to consolidate the events and Business Line vertical. Three changes have taken place in the organisation.
K Ravichandran, erstwhile Vertical Head – Sales, has been appointed as General Manager – Events.
Commenting on this movement, Suresh Srinivasan, Vice President, The Hindu said, “Ravichandran will handle all events organised by us. This move was imperative as we have events every other day and going forward, we plan to increase the number of events. We will also be increasing our events footprint by adding more number of cities.”
In addition, the company has appointed L Sridhar, earlier Deputy Regional General Manager – Mumbai, as General Manager, Ad-Sales, Business Line. His responsibilities include growing the Business Line ad revenue as well as events nationally.
A new role has been created for R Diwakar as General Manager, Alliances. He was the General Manger of Business Line earlier. His new role is to manage partnerships with other media companies such as HT and Eenadu.
Ravichandran, Sridhar and Diwakar will report to Srinivasan.
