AIR's FM service FM Gold launches in Ludhiana today

This is FM Gold's fifth station, after creating presence in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. I&B Minister Manish Tewari has inaugurated the FM station

AIR's FM service FM Gold launches in Ludhiana today

Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting, Manish Tewari inaugurated All India Radio’s FM service, FM Gold, in Ludhiana today. This is FM Gold’s fifth station, after creating presence in metros, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata.

The station will be available at 100.1 megahertz and will operate from BSNL building, Transport Nagar, Ludhiana. The station shall initially air content from FM Gold’s Delhi station. However, there will be two hours of local programming in morning and evening, which will be introduced in two months’ time.

Tewari inaugurated the radio station in a function organised at Guru Nanak Bhavan. The ceremony was attended by senior officials of the MIB and Prasar Bharati. Punjabi singer Jasbir Singh performed at the event.
