Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has brought cheer to the radio industry, especially community radio in his Budget 2014 speech. Rs 100 crore has been allocated to spur growth in community radio.
The fresh infusion of funds is expected to aid in the setting up of 600 new community radio stations across the country.
Meanwhile, the Finance Minister also said that Kisan Television will be set up for the benefit of farmers, which will provide real time information on advanced agriculture system.
