While Qatar-based Al Jazeera (English) is not relying much on ad revenue in India, the group, as part of its long-term strategy, is in talks with various marketing and advertising agencies. The process was started a few weeks ago and is currently underway.
Speaking to exchange4media, Al Anstey, MD, Al Jazeera India, said, “We are in discussions with various agencies in India, but at this moment I cannot reveal their names. As we are soon going to launch a massive marketing campaign, we are in talks with main line marketing agencies as well.”
However, Anstey did not give any specific time frame as to when they would close the talks. All he would say was, “Perhaps by next month we will be able to finalise the marketing agency.” Following this, it is expected that the group will finalise its ad agency as well.
