ESPN Star Sports has launched its on-ground division, Event Management Group (EMG) in India to manage and promote premier sports events around Asia.
EMG specialises in producing and syndicating leading sports events such as the KIA X Games Asia, KL World 5s and Guinness 9-Ball Tour.
Commenting on the launch of EMG, Rathindra Basu, Senior Director – Corporate Development said, “The basic premise is to offer customised sports events, sports-led activation programs, ground sponsorship solutions as well as innovative content placement to Indian businesses.”
“We have already started work on two big properties – Pepsi T20 Football and HDFC Life Schools Quiz,” he added.
