Gregory Ho to lead Communications & Mktg at Turner I'ntl Asia Pacific

In his new role, Ho will oversee all marketing, corporate communications & PR activities for the company & its affiliates in the Asia Pacific region. He joins in from Sony Pictures Television

PR and TV professional Gregory Ho is joining Turner International Asia Pacific as Vice President of Communications & Marketing. The appointment was announced by Oliver Herrgesell, Senior Vice President – Communications, Turner Broadcasting System International.

In his new role, Ho will serve as Turner International’s chief communications and marketing executive in the Asia Pacific region, overseeing all marketing, corporate communications and public relations activities for the company and its affiliates. Taking up the role with immediate effect, he will work closely with Ricky Ow, President, Turner International Asia Pacific.

“This move and Greg’s vast experience reflect the strategic importance of our business interests in Asia Pacific,” said Herrgesell, to whom Ho will report. “Greg brings leadership skills and a working relationship with Ricky Ow to a role that will have significant influence on the company’s continuing efforts to position, capitalize on and grow its entertainment, animation and news brands’ reputation.”

Ow added here, “Greg is one of the most experienced, well-connected and innovative media professionals I have had the pleasure of working with in Asia, and I’m delighted he will be building on the strong heritage of the leading brands we run.”

Ho most recently was Vice President and Head of Public Relations, Corporate Communications and Marketing at Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks, Asia. Earlier, he was Vice President & General Manager at Animax Asia with operational responsibility for programming, marketing, promotions and revenue. He joined SPT in 1999 as Director of Marketing & Communications at a time when it operated one channel, AXN. In the years from 1995 to 1999, Ho served at CNBC Asia/ Asia Business news in various functions. He started his broadcasting career in 1992 at Mediacorp Radio.
