Hemant Sharma, News Director, India TV has stepped down from his role. Confirming the news to exchange4media, India TV Chairman Rajat Sharma said, “Hemant has had a long journey with India TV and our best wishes are with him always.”
Speaking about his decision to step down from his role, Hemant Sharma stated, “I have decided to take a sabbatical from my long career for my first love of writing but I will always be available to India TV.”
Prior to joining India TV, Sharma was working as Bureau Chief in Lucknow for a prominent Delhi-based newspaper. Sharma has also authored a book on the subject ‘Dwitiyo Nasti’. He has also been conferred the prestigious ‘Yash Bharat’ Award by the Uttar Pradesh government for his contribution to journalism.
