Rahul Kanwal named ‘News Director of the Year-English’ at enba 2023

The 16th edition of the exchange4media News Broadcasting Awards was held on March 30 in New Delhi

Rahul Kanwal, Executive Director, Business Today & News Director, India Today and Aaj Tak, bagged the ‘News Director of the Year- English’ honour at the recently held exchange4media news broadcasting awards (enba). The 16th edition of enba was held on Saturday, March 30 at The Imperial, Connaught Place, New Delhi. Coming to the medal tally, India Today & Aaj Tak won a total of 108 metals. The channels won 59 golds, 28 silver and 21 bronze metals across categories. Meanwhile, Sanjay Pugalia, CEO & Editor-in-Chief, NDTV, was awarded the Editor-in-Chief of the Year - Hindi’ category.

The dazzling awards night honoured the best in the Indian broadcast news media industry. At the awards night, Vineet Jain, Managing Director, Times Group, was honoured with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’, ABP Network CEO Avinash Pandey bagged the ‘CEO of the Year’ title and the ‘enba editorial maverick of the year 2023’ title was given to Supriya Prasad, News Director, Aaj Tak, India Today & GNT.

enba awards were given under seven broad categories – Programming, Personality, Marketing, Digital Media, International news, Overall Excellence and Special Awards which were further divided into several sub-categories. The awards were presented after a meticulous jury process by luminaries across the political, social, and business ecosystem.
