ZEE rebrands Zee UP as Zee Sangam to target higher regional viewership

This is the second national news channel from Zee Media. The channel will be available on all major platforms, covering news in UP and other parts of the country.

ZEE rebrands Zee UP as Zee Sangam to target higher regional viewership

In order to increase regional viewership, Zee Media has rebranded Zee UP as Zee Sangam. This is the second national news channel from the Zee Group.

Talking to exchange4media, AlokAgrawal,CEO, Zee News, said, “We earlier had Zee UP/Uttrakhand as one news channel.Our Terrestrial Entertainment Network (TEN) consists of Zee Marudhara, Zee Purvaiya and Zee Kalinga. We already have a full news channel in Zee UP and we are combining it into Zee Sangam that will extensively cover news around UP and other parts of the country.”

Explaining the objective behind the move, Agrawalsaid, “We are catering to a difference audience altogether. Zee UP was already there, but the idea is to extend the platform in a better manner so we can target the consumer across sections.”
The channel will be available pan India and will be present on all the leading DTH and cable platforms.
