Amazon India’s Manish Tiwary resigns as Country Head, Amit Agarwal to take over ops

Manish Tiwary, Country Manager, India Consumer Business, Amazon India, has reportedly stepped down from his role. He will continue at the organisation until October to ensure smooth transition.
According to Amazon India’s official statement, Manish Tiwary will seek opportunities outside the company.
US-based Amit Agarwal, senior vice-president (SVP) of India and emerging markets, will reportedly handle Tiwary’s duties and oversee his team.
At Amazon India, Tiwary led consumer business including seller services focused on transforming the way India buys and sells.
He joined Amazon India in in 2016 after a nearly two-decade-long stint with Unilever in various sales, marketing, and general management roles.
He was part of the Unilever (India) Board with specific responsibility for Sales for South Asia. His last role was as the Managing Director for Unilever (Gulf) managing a cluster of 34 countries in North Africa and Middle East operating from Dubai.
Tiwary holds a Management degree from Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science from BITS.
