Anoop Sequiera quits as Pizza Corner CEO; to join Starbucks as CEO

Anoop Sequiera, CEO, Pizza Corner, has put in his papers. He will be joining Starbucks as CEO on February 21 and would be based in Delhi. Starbucks Corp, the world’s biggest coffee-shop chain, is all set to enter India in partnership with Pantaloon’s Kishore Biyani and V P Sharma, head of the US company’s Indonesian franchise.

Anoop Sequiera, CEO, Pizza Corner, has put in his papers. He will be joining Starbucks as CEO on February 21 and would be based in Delhi. While at Pizza Corner, which is a Global Franchise Architects’ venture, Sequiera was based in Bangalore.

Starbucks Corp, the world’s biggest coffee-shop chain, is all set to enter India in partnership with Pantaloon’s Kishore Biyani and V P Sharma, head of the US company’s Indonesian franchise. Starbucks has identified Delhi and Mumbai as possible starting points for its India foray.

Starbucks plans to target the young adults for expanding its presence in India and also aims to reap the benefits of a growing coffee culture in a traditionally tea-drinking nation.
