Arvind Mediratta quits Yum! Restaurants to join Wal-Mart
Arvind Mediratta, Chief Marketing Officer, Yum! Restaurants, is all set to join Wal-Mart as Senior Vice President and Business Head of the company’s Cash and Carry business. He is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Kolkata. While at Yum! Restaurants, Mediratta’s responsibilities included looking after KFC and Pizza Hut in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Mauritius.
It has been learnt from sources close to the development that Arvind Mediratta, Chief Marketing Officer, Yum! Restaurants, has decided to move on. He joins as the Senior Vice President and Business Head of Wal-Mart’s Cash and Carry business.
When exchange4media contacted Mediratta, he confirmed the move but refused further comment. It is learnt that Mediratta will join his new assignment by mid-April.
Mediratta is an engineering graduate from IIT Delhi and an IIM Kolkata alumnus. He has worked with P&G for a little more than a decade, following which he joined Marico as Head of Marketing where he spent close to two years. He then did a stint with Whirlpool where he was VP-Marketing, before moving to Yum! Restaurants.
At the time of joining Yum! Restaurants, Mediratta’s responsibilities included looking after KFC and Pizza Hut in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Mauritius.
