Debjani Ghosh steps down as Nasscom President, Rajesh Nambiar to take over
Debjani Ghosh has been the President of the National Association of Software & Services Companies (NASSCOM) since April 2018
Nasscom President Debjani Ghosh has announced her decision to step down from her position. She made the announcement on LinkedIn. Rajesh Nambiar, who recently quit as Chairman and Managing Director - India, Cognizant, will succeed Ghosh as the President of Nasscom.
“Joining Nasscom was the best career decision I had made 7 years back. What an incredible journey it has been! And what an amazing team – one that believes in making the impossible, possible. Hence, it was immensely difficult for me to take the decision to step down as I complete my tenure in Nov this year, to pursue my dream”, she said in her post.
Announcing the news about the next President, Ghosh said, “I am thrilled to welcome Rajesh Nambiar as the next President of Nasscom! Rajesh, a dear friend, colleague, is an exceptional leader, and with him at the helm of Nasscom, I know that this organization I hold so dear is in very safe hands”.
