After almost a decade, OpenAI Co-Founder Ilya Sutskever announced his departure from the company. Sutskever took to social media platform X and made the announcement.
“After almost a decade, I have made the decision to leave OpenAI. The company’s trajectory has been nothing short of miraculous, and I’m confident that OpenAI will build AGI that is both safe and beneficial. It was an honor and a privilege to have worked together, and I will miss everyone dearly. So long, and thanks for everything”, his X post read.
“I am excited for what comes next — a project that is very personally meaningful to me about which I will share details in due time”, he further added.
Ilya Sutskever is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of OpenAI, and one of the visionaries behind ChatGPT. He is also one of the leading minds in the artificial intelligence community. Throughout his career, Sutskever has shared many insights on how to navigate the complex, ever-evolving landscape of AI.
