Radio Mirchi, Chennai, has appointed P Balasubramanian as Head of Programming. Prior to his new assignment Balasubramanian was the Division Head, Radio, WOC. He also had a brief stint with IBN7 where he was a senior correspondent.

Commenting on his new assignment, Balasubramanian said, “Radio Mirchi, Chennai, is already topping the list in Chennai and my focus would be to spice it up a little more. I want Radio Mirchi to break the records and become No. 1 among all Mirchi stations across the country as well as continue its lead position in Chennai.”

Balasubramanian replaces Ramesh S K, who quit Radio Mirchi, Chennai, as Programming Head to join Hello FM, the radio venture of Malar Publications, way back in July 2006.
