Sakal Media Group has appointed Nilesh Khare as its Chief Editor of Multimedia Content and the COO of its broadcast media business Saam TV, according to the company's internal memo accessed by e4m.
"Nilesh brings a key eye for detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and quality in every piece we publish. With his guidance, our publication strives for innovation, relevance, and accuracy in every story we tell," said CEO Uday Jadhav in the memo.
Khare will be instrumental in creating and converging multimedia content for Sakal Media Group's various platforms, said the publication.
As COO of Saam TV, he will oversee the operations of the broadcast media business. All functional heads will be reporting to him.
This is his second stint with Saam TV where he worked for over three years between 2017 and 2020.
A senior media professional with 20 years of experience in Print, Television and Digital Content and Business Development, Khare was previously Editor & Business Head for Zee 24 Taas (TV & Digital). He has also worked for TV9, ABP Network, Jai Maharashtra News, Star and Tarun Bharat.
Khare will report to Jadhav and work closely with Abhijit Pawar, MD of Sakal Media Group.
