Sony appoints Sanjay Upadhayay as VP-Development Programming
Sanjay Upadhayay has joined Sony Entertainment Television as Vice President-Development Programming, after a stint of almost four years with BAG Films. He will be reporting to Albert Almeida, Executive VP and Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television.
Sony Entertainment Television has roped in Sanjay Upadhayay as Vice President-Development Programming for the Sony channel. Upadhayay will take over this new responsibility from June 18 onwards and will be reporting to Albert Almeida, Executive VP and Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television.
Upadhayay said, “In this new role, I will be looking onto the commissioning and development of new shows launched under the entity of Sony channel.” Informed executives from the channel confirmed the appointment. However, senior officials refused to divulge any further information on this regard.
Previous to this appointment, Upadhayay was Senior Creative and Ideation Director for almost four years with BAG Films. He has also worked as a director for UTV-produced show ‘Saaya’, and ‘Hum Pardesi Ho Gaye’ for Sony channel in the past.
