Paulomi Dhawan, Chairperson, Make-A-Wish India, Independent Director, and Brand Media specialist, recollected her association with veteran adman Bobby Sista who passed away on Saturday.

Dhawan shared with e4m: "Bobby Sista always had a twinkle in his eye. Though I have never worked with him, he always was warm and compassionate and inquired about my family. He and Ahmed Ibrahim (Chairman of Everest Advertising) were very close friends. He was really happy when I had last met him and mentioned that I am also now in the social impact sector."

Sista was one of the pioneering figures of the Indian advertising industry with an experience that spanned half a century.

He got into advertising in the early 1950s in the footsteps of his father Venkatarao Sista, the founder-owner of India's first ad agency, Sista Sales and Publicity Services, founded in 1934. The agency was then christened AdArts, which was sold to Saatchi & Saatchi in 1998.
