Publicis Ambience has bagged a Bronze at the Clio Awards 2009 for its work titled ‘Sports capture’ for Wespro Digital Cameras in the Innovative category. This win follows Contract Advertising bagging a Gold Statue in the Poster category yesterday.
Winners in the six categories of Print, Direct Mail, Radio, Poster, Billboard and Strategic Communications/Public Relations were announced at the Clio Awards 2009 on May 13, while winners for the Content & Contact, Innovative and Interactive categories were announced on May 14.
Meanwhile, winners in the TV/ Cinema/ Digital and Design categories are yet to be announced and there is hope yet for the Indian entries.
The shortlists for Clio Awards were announced in April-end 2009, which had featured nine Indian entries – Publicis Communication (three entries), and O&M, Leo Burnett and Contract (two entries each).
In honour of the monumental 50th Anniversary Clio Awards, the three-day Clio Festival featured decade-themed award shows. The Communications Awards celebrated the 1960s with a video montage of the advertising and design techniques that shaped the marketplace during that decade. The Clio Awards are produced by Nielsen Business Media, a part of The Nielsen Company.
