DDB Mudra posts total revenue of Rs 325 crore in FY21
Net profit stands at Rs 17 crore, an increase of 6.25% from the previous fiscal
DDB Mudra has posted consolidated total revenue of Rs 325 crore for the year ended March 31, 2021. This is a decrease of 30.41% from Rs 467 crore recorded in the previous fiscal. Meanwhile, the company's net profit jumped 6.25% to Rs 17 crore in FY21 as compared to Rs 16 crore last fiscal.
According to the company's financial data accessed by business intelligence platform Tofler, total expenses have also dropped by 32.06% to Rs 303 crore compared to Rs 446 crore in FY20.
The company’s media placement costs have aggregated to Rs 548 crore against Rs 541 crore for the year ended March 31, 2020. The business model of the company also requires it to place advertisements with various media entities on behalf of its customers. In such cases, the company makes full payment to the media entities for media placement costs and recovers the same from the customers, adding to its income. Thus, creditors include amounts payable to media entities and debtors and unbilled receivables include amounts recoverable from customers. However, the revenue in such cases is the net income earned by the company.
The company’s revenue from advertising publicity, which includes income from advertising service and commission, saw a decline of 25.51% to Rs 184 crore against Rs 247 crore in FY20. Similarly, the company's revenue from other services, including income from events and other services, stood at Rs 1.03 crore in FY21 against Rs 2.84 crore in FY20.
DDB Mudra Group’s total employee benefit expense for FY21 stood at Rs 81.24 crore against Rs 114 crore in FY20.
