Pahlaj Nihalani has been reported to be sacked as the chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), with adman, poet and writer Prasoon Joshi replacing him.
According to media reports filmmakers like Prakash Jha and Madhur Bhandarkar were rumoured to be considered for the CBFC chief's post.
Joshi, CEO of McCann World group India and Chairman, a subsidiary of global marketing firm McCann Erickson, is also a popular lyricist, screenwriter and poet.
