H B Lee to head Samsung's SW Asia ops
Samsung Electronics has appointed H B Lee as the regional president and CEO of South West Asia, including India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries.

Samsung Electronics has appointed H B Lee as the regional president and CEO of South West Asia, including India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries.
According to the release issued by the company, Lee will assume charge in February and oversee the Indian operations of all Samsung subsidiaries like Samsung India Electronics, Samsung Telecommunications India, Samsung India Software Operations (SISO) and the company’s research and development centre at Banagalore while being based in Delhi.
S H Oh, president and CEO, Samsung Electronics said: " The appointment of Lee as regional president is symbolic of the parent company’s focus on the south west asia region. Lee will be drawing on the synergies of the existing Samsung businesses in India to ensure faster growth for the company in this region."
Lee was the president and CEO of Samsung’s digital appliance network business since 2005, based in Korea. He has been working with the Korean multinational since 31 years and has also been the managing director of the company’s German and Spainish subsidiries.
