The Interpublic Group of Companies has rejected a bid to acquire MullenLowe, media networks have reported.
As per reports, IPG had termed the bid as an investor's 'unsolicited approach'.
While some reports suggested that the buyer was from Eastern Europe, others have taken names like Dmitry Korobkov, formerly associated with Russia's ADV agency network.
IPG has been quoted as saying that the offer was not credible.
The development comes close on the heels of IPG reportedly considering selling its digital marketing agency R/GA to Tata Consultation Services.
