At FCB Global, Luis Silva Dias has been promoted to CEO of FCB International. He will report to FCB Worldwide CEO, Carter Murray.
FCB’s International division was created in 2013 to oversee the growth and output of FCB operations in 62 markets, spanning Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Since 2000, when he joined the organisation, Silva Dias has had a swift rise through FCB. Named Executive Creative Director of FCB Portugal in 2002, he was made president and CEO of that office in 2005 and CCO for EME in 2008. In 2014 he joined FCB International as Chief Creative Officer where, in addition to making significant contributions to the network’s creative output, he was the lead architect of FCB’s rebrand in March 2014.
He is a highly awarded and respected leader, one who is a key member of FCB’s global creative council and a recently appointed member of the FCB Global Leadership Team. He has been awarded by D&AD, The One Show, CLIO, Cresta, Art Directors Club, LIA and Cannes.
Silva Dias said, “I feel very honoured and grateful for the great legacy I’m receiving. Sébastian Desclée, who previously held the role, has been promoted to CEO at FuelContent, the new content production arm of FCB globally.
Desclée said: “I am very pleased to hand over to Luis. He is the perfect fit for writing the next chapter of FCB International, and I’m certain he will continue to build FCB International over the coming years."
