MAA Globes 2009: Mudra, Tequila, Solutions | Digitas, ICICI Bank, Jagran, Hungama, Candid in winners' list

Seven Indian agencies have made it to the winners’ list at the MAA Globes 2009 awards. Among the winners from India are Mudra Communications, Tequila India, Solutions | Digitas, ICICI Bank, Jagran Solutions, Hungama Digital, Candid Marketing. In all, six awards and six Orders of Merit were awarded to Indian agencies. The winners were announced at the 24th annual MAA Globes Awards ceremony in Boston on October 20.

Seven Indian agencies have made it to the winners’ list at the MAA Globes 2009 awards. Among the winners from India are Mudra Communications, Tequila India, Solutions | Digitas, ICICI Bank, Jagran Solutions, Hungama Digital, Candid Marketing. In all, six awards and six Orders of Merit were awarded to Indian agencies. The winners were announced at the 24th annual MAA (Marketing Agencies Association) Globes Awards ceremony held in Boston on October 20.

Mudra Communications bagged the Globe award for its work on ‘Women on wheels – The TVS Institute’ in the Best Activity Generating Brand Loyalty category. The agency also won an Order of Merit for ‘Park Avenue – Iron Man’ in the Best Small Budget Campaign category.

Tequila India grabbed a Silver and Bronze for its work on ‘The Big Bangle Promotion’ for Titan Industries’ GoldPlus brand in the Best Use of Direct Marketing in a Promotion Campaign and Best Small Budget Campaign categories, respectively.

Solution | Digitas took home two Bronzes for ‘Aviva Dollar Dreams’ in the Best Activity Generating Brand Loyalty and Best Dealer or Sales Force Activity categories. The agency also won an Order of Merit for Thompson Press Digital – ‘Champi Wala’ in the Best Business to Business Campaign category.

ICICI Bank also won a Bronze in the Best Business to Business Campaign category for its ‘ICICI Bank Talkies on the Move’ campaign.

Other agencies that bagged Orders of Merits included: Jagran Solutions India won two Orders of Merit (Disney Ratatouille mailer and Gatorade Pacers 2008), Hungama Digital Media Entertainment India (Ghajini – findghajini.com), and Candid Marketing India (ESPN Star Sports – Learning Ground).

A total of 48 Globes, Silver and Bronze awards and Orders of Merit certificates in 16 entry categories were announced at the awards ceremony. In a prepared statement, Kieran Killeen, President, MAA Worldwide, said, “The MAA Globes has continued to set the pace in terms of its ability to deliver global reach. The MAA Globes recognises the best in promotion marketing award programmes that are run around the globe. 114 judges from 22 countries, representing agencies, clients, academia, media and industry associations carried out the judging process for the 2009 awards between July and September.
