Ministry of Adult Education has called for tender for its creative duties. Twelve agencies are reportedly in the fray for the business. The first round of presentations is slated for August 13, 2009.

The objective encompasses promoting and highlighting the Total Literacy Campaign (TLC) and Post Literacy Programme (PLP). The literacy campaign is the principal strategy of the National Literacy Mission for eradication of illiteracy.

Project proposals for districts, as recommended by the State Governments, are scrutinised by the National Literacy Mission (NLM) and approved in the meetings of the Project Approval Committee of the NLM. Literacy campaigns are implemented by the Zila Saksharata Samitis or District Literacy Councils headed by District Collectors or democratically elected Presidents of the Zila Parishads.

The account is a 360-degree initiative involving print, TVC, OOH, Internet and BTL activities.
