One Show 2008 finalists announced; 15 Indian entries make it to the list
One Show 2008 finalists have been announced. This year, 15 Indian entries have made it to the finalists’ list of the total 507 entries that India had sent in. O&M leads with five entries, followed by Rediffusion DY&R and Leo Burnett with four entries each. JWT and Meridian Communications have one entry each in the finalists’ list.

Among the O&M entries that were nominated as semi-finalists, entries such as the Words Campaign for IBM, Stomach for GlaxoSmithKline, Gunshot and Videocon TV for Videocon Industries, and Swimming Pool for HSBC have been nominated as finalists.
Leo Burnett’s print and outdoor work for Luxor Writing Instruments have got the agency four nominations under two categories – Consumer Newspaper: Full Page or Spread – Single’, and ‘Collateral Posters – Single.’ The campaign had recently won the agency two Grand Prix.
Rediffusion’s work titled ‘The Birds’ for Amway India is a finalist under the category of Collateral Posters – Single, while its ‘Sugar Free Ants Muffin’ campaign for Zydus Cadila is a finalist in three different categories – Outdoor-Single, Outdoor-Campaign, and Innovative Use of Advertising.
JWT has a single entry in the list, its print work for GM International’s Twins Campaign under the Small Space Print: B&W or Color: Less than a Page – single’ category.
Meridian Communication, too, has earned itself a place in the finalists’ list at the One Show 2008 with its entry titled ‘Free Brid Song’ for its client Treesforfree.org.
