As a prank, announced the launch of India’s first Game of Thrones-themed hotel
OYO Hotels and Homes pulled a prank on April Fool’s Day by announcing a plan to launch India’s first GoT (Game of Thrones) themed hotel for all GoT fans in India.
Built like the King’s Palace, OYO offered gothic-styled dining halls, the famous Iron Throne and an opportunity to experience and say #WinterHasCome with its GoT themed property.
The audience was encouraged to tag two friends and be one of the first people to visit this property.
The prank timed a few days before the season finale premiere of the popular series received organic traction and engagement across OYO’s social media platforms. With an ‘All men must be pranked’ post, OYO revealed the prank to its audience in the morning.
