Binny Bansal quits Flipkart board
The development comes months after Binny Bansal sold his remaining stake in the company
Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal has stepped down from the company's board after 16 years. The development comes months after he sold his remaining stake in the company.
"I am proud of the Flipkart Group's achievements over the past 16 years. Flipkart is in a robust position, with a strong leadership team and a clear path forward, and with this confidence, I have decided to step aside, knowing the company is in capable hands. I wish the team the best as they continue to transform experiences for customers, and I remain a strong supporter of the business," said Bansal.
Flipkart was founded by Binny Bansal and Sachin Bansal in 2007. The latter stepped down from the board in 2018 after Walmart acquired 77% stake in the company.
It was earlier reported that Binny Bansal has floated a new startup that provides solutions to e-comm companies. He also co-founded xto10x Technologies, which provides tools, learning platforms, and solutions to help boost startup growth.
