BW Healthcare World Excellence Summit & Awards
The 7th annual edition of the BW Healthcare World of BW Businessworld Excellence Summit & Awards took place recently in the national capital
This prestigious event kicked off with a powerful and insightful inaugural address by Harbinder Narula, CEO – BW Healthcare World and BW Wellbeing World. The opening keynote address was by Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman – Board of Management, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where he spoke about “On the Road to a New India – India Healthcare Story”. Followed by this was the first panel discussion and overall there were six panel discussions, two key note addresses and two fireside chats, throughout the day’s proceedings.
This outstanding event comprised of a large number of very reputed and respected doctors and other eminent healthcare professionals who with their utmost dedication provide the healthcare landscape and ecosystem, a massive amount of support and trust. They live and work selflessly for the betterment of today’s world in terms of a holistic healthcare module which emphasises on patient care and preventive options for all kinds of disorders and disease.
The day was packed with back to back panel discussions, key note speeches and fireside chats. The topics that were touched upon, included healthcare quality – culture beyond certification. Moving on, there was also a very detailed discussion on AI (Artificial Intelligence) and genomics which focus on predictability leading to prevention. Topics such as integrated medicine and the importance of building efficient hospitals were also touched upon.
Another very interesting panel discussion touched upon the many facets and forms of building efficient practice for doctors – reducing loss of follow ups including continual care. The day’s agenda also included presentations by two health care start-ups. The opportunities of medical tourism in India was also spoken about. How our nation is unique and evolving at rapid pace as of now, was something that caught the complete attention of the very keen audience. This was a fireside chat with the topic – “The Made in India Story Needs to be redefined – How India is Unique”. After an exhausting but very informative session on how corporate hospitals do or do not dilute the ethics in the field of healthcare. The last panel discussion included extensive sharing of ideas, facts and figures and even brainstorming on the lines of the topic – “What should Pharma companies be doing beyond Manufacturing Medicines”.

There was an invigorating and very refreshing speech by Dr. Annurag Batra, Chairman & Editor-in- Chief BW Businessworld & Founder exchange4media.
The positive vibes and energy could be felt throughout the day as these very senior, yet humble, doctors and healthcare professionals (and providers) took advantage of this platform to enable people to understand not only the business of healthcare but also what goes into the selfless sacrifices made by them. There was a lot of awareness being spreads and myths were being debunked and misconceptions, cleared.
