The ITC group has named Sanjiv Puri as Chairman, say media reports. He was currently the Managing Director of the group.
The Chairman’s post fell vacant after Y C Deveshwar passed away.
As CEO, Puri was considered to be Deveshwar’s successor. The board later named him the Managing Director.
The company has also reported a profit of Rs 3,482 crore in Q4, marking a growth of 19 per cent compared to the same period last year.
