Media reports quote sources who said that the combined entity after the merger -- comprising SPN, Viacom18 and Jio Studios -- will be worth Rs 10,000 crore in revenues
After months of negotiations, the proposed merger of Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) and Viacom18 is reportedly back on the table, according to recent media reports. Previously, talks about the merger between the SPN and the Network18 & Viacom18 joint venture had ended in a "no deal" stage twice.
Sources close to the development have reported to a media outlet that the three businesses comprising SPN, Viacom18 and Jio Studios will merge into a single entity.
They also revealed that the combined property will be worth close to Rs 10,000 crore in revenue and may have 2,700 employees.
