Wipro has appointed Thierry Delaporte as CEO and Managing Director, effective July 6, media reports have said.
Prior to this, he was Chief Operating Officer at Capgemini and also part of a member of its Group Executive Board.
Delaporte will be taking over from Abidali Neemuchwala who will be stepping down on June 1.
In his 25-year-stint with Capgemini, Delaporte held several key roles like that of CEO, Global Financial Services Strategic Business Unit.
He will now be based in Paris and report to Chairman Rishad Premji.
