Judging procedures changed for Cannes Lions 2006; press, outdoor to have separate juries
The Cannes Lions 2006 will see some changes in the judging procedure. Firstly, there will be separate press and outdoor juries to judge the entries in these categories. Secondly, the preliminary pre-Cannes 'judging-at-home' round of the Lions Direct competition has been abolished. All submissions will be judged in Cannes by an increased jury of 30 members plus the Jury President.
Dish Asia Network in pact with Dish TV for distribution of three new Tamil channels

Dish Asia Network from France, one of the first ones to broadcast Tamil channels from outside India, has partnered with Dish TV for distribution of its channels in the country. In the process, the channel has planned to bring ‘Indian Idol’ in the 8.30 pm slot along with Endemol format ‘Deal or No Deal’ – both in November. Another change that could take place is the channel’s decision to wrap its long running show ‘Kkusum’.
