Indian agencies had entered 266 pieces of work in Outdoor Lions this year. Of these, 12 pieces of work, forming seven broad entries, have made it to the short list.

These include three entries, across one campaign from Ogilvy India for The Economist; three pieces of work again from Mudra DDB for Bangalore Traffic Police, and two pieces of work from Creativeland Asia for Cholayil.

Ogilvy India has one standalone piece of work shortlisted for GlaxoSmithKline, and so does Creativeland Asia for Parle Agro.

Following this, Bates 141 has a shortlisted entry for Steadler, while TapRoot India has an entry for TransAsia Papers.

Last year, India had won 11 Outdoor Lions, which was one of the highest ever won in the category.

The Outdoor Lions Jury President is Tay Guan Hin, Regional ECD, JWT Asia. The jury also includes Sajan Raj Kurup, Founder and Creative Chairman, Creativeland Asia.

The Outdoor Lions category saw a 15 per cent decrease in total entries this year – in all, 3,822 pieces of work have been entered. There was a decrease in the number of entries from India as well.

The winners would be announced on June 22, 2010.
