Cannes Lions 2017: It’s a no-show for India in Print and Publishing Lions
Last year, there was a lone winner from India in this category
India failed to impress the Print and Publishing Lions Jury even after bagging nine shortlists in the category. This year, this is the first category in which India made it to the shortlist and missed bagging a Lion.
Three Indian agencies bagged nine shortlists out of the 397 entries selected for Cannes Print and Publishing Lions. Of these 397 entries shortlisted, 89 entries won awards.
In 2016, India saw a lone winner in this category – J Walter Thompson. The agency had won a Bronze Lion for its work done for Sleep Apnoea India ‘Night Kills Day Fisherwoman’, ‘Night Kills Day Mechanic’ and ‘Night Kills Day Milkman’ campaigns.
