No entry from India has made it to the Mobile Lions, the shortlist of which was announced today at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Indian agencies may not have been very confident of the category to begin with, as only five entries were sent for the category.

Tom Eslinger, Digital Creative Director, Saatchi & Saatchi is the Jury President for Mobile Lions and there are no Indian jury members for this category in its launch year.

New in 2012, the mobile category rewards the best creative work which lives on or is activated by a mobile device, app or mobile web. The judging will be based on creativity and the idea, execution (usability, user experience, craft and design), relevance to the mobile platform and results (level of user engagement and any quantifiable outcomes).

A total of 965 entries from 47 countries have been submitted into the Mobile category in its launch year.
